Class 21

Course Conclusion and Final Project Workshop 2

Wednesday, December 3, 2025

Class Overview

Why is this important?

The Final Project Workshop is an essential opportunity for students to get help with any remaining issues before their final project is due. It allows teams to receive personalized support in real-time, addressing specific challenges they face as they work to integrate complex concepts and advanced techniques covered in the course. By offering this dedicated time for assistance, the workshop helps ensure that students can successfully apply their knowledge, troubleshoot technical issues, and finalize their projects with confidence. This session reinforces the importance of seeking feedback and refining work before submission.

What will we do?

We will conclude class in person and outline where we will go with ACCTG528. We will then have remaining time for a final open workshop and/or presentation dry-run. I can provide critical last-minute support if needed, but recommend being ready for a presentation dry run, during the second half of class or extended office hours.

How this relates to other classes:

This workshop serves as a culmination of the entire course, with particular emphasis on integrating the more advanced material covered toward the end. Teams will draw on their knowledge of ETL processes, data analytics, audit planning, and the tools used throughout ACCTG 522, along with earlier foundational concepts from ACCTG 522. The goal of the workshop is to ensure that teams have fully synthesized these concepts into their final project, applying both their technical and analytical skills in a comprehensive and cohesive manner.
