The Alteryx Challenge!

Monday, November 17, 2025

Class Overview

Why is this important?

This class provides the opportunity for students to work on solving Alteryx workflows with time-pressure. Students will work in discussion teams to solve three Alteryx Challenges within a set time limit for each Challenge. Students will be asked to reflect on the challenge and communicate this in a memo.

What will we do?

The Alteryx Challenge involves three workflows relating to ETL and predictive analytics. Students will work in discussion teams to solve three Alteryx Challenges within a set time limit for each Challenge. After completing the challenges, students will be asked to reflect on their experience and communicate their insights in a memo.

How this relates to other classes:

Our guest will present teams with three Alteryx challenges. It will extend students' prior experience with Alteryx in a competitive environment. Students will leverage all many of the tools that they have worked with in the past, and potentially solve problems using new tools.
