Individual RPA Workshop

Class Overview

What will we do?

This class is reserved for in-class time to complete individual RPA solutions that are due on Wednesday. Other individual cases can also be finalized for completion during this time, or a head-start can be made on the governance, ethics and cybersecurtiy materials that relate to the final project. Teams that have completed their individual RPA solutions can use this time to meet and work on their team-based automation design project. All students should also read the background material for the final project, a study on the opportunities and challenges faced with agentic implementations at companies, by a group at MIT.

  • Class Plan
    1. We will cover some admin briefly, then students are expected to work on their individual RPA projects. This is the last class before the individual RPA submission is due, so students should be working towards completing their projects in time for submission on Wednesday.
    2. I have posted the additional materials for the next few classes, and will cover them briefly.
    3. The first document is a study by a group at MIT who surveyed companies on their implementation of agentic workflows. It highlights the current state and challenges being faced.
    4. The second document provides details for accessing the EYARC Experience platform to cover background material on LLM governance and ethics, this material can be completed online and it ends with check-in quizzes.
    5. Finally, the last material covers a cybersecurity issue with public facing LLMs, a concern known as prompt injection. The task is interactive, and you'll take a screenshot of how far you get with Gandalf's increasingly difficult challenges.
