Data Visualization Challenge
Description
This class integrates analysis, visualization, and communication through the presentation of a completed data visualization challenge. Communicating analytical results is important because accountants must be able to explain both what the data show and why the resulting information matters to the intended user.
Motivation
Can we communicate an accounting conclusion clearly using data?
Review
Across the course, we have progressed from evaluating and preparing data to analyzing transactions, financial statements, and disclosures, using and evaluating AI, making decisions, and communicating evidence visually. This final class integrates those skills by requiring students to use data and visualization to communicate a clearly defined accounting or business conclusion.
