Data Visualization Workshop
Description
This class applies visualization principles to the development and refinement of visualizations for a defined accounting or business problem. Practicing these skills is important because effective visualization requires selecting and designing a presentation that matches the question, evidence, and intended audience.
Motivation
How do we design a visualization for a specific decision or audience?
Review
The previous two classes introduced common visualization techniques and examined characteristics of effective and misleading visualizations. This class brings those concepts together by having students construct and improve their own visual presentation of analytical evidence.
